We will deconstruct each word; Quantifiable, Spacetime and Meed to better understand how Meed tokens play a vital roll in the Cryptogotchi ecosystem. But first, a brief description of what a Cryptogotchi is and can do.
What is a Cryptogotchi?
A Cryptogotchi, in its most simplest form, can be compared to a Tamagotchi. A living interactive digital pet someone can keep alive by performing required tasks, like feeding it food or playing with it. The Cryptogotchi NFT smart contract has taken these two core fundamental tasks and implemented them in the form of an ERC-721 Token.

Quantifiable
Definition: able to be expressed as an amount, quantity, or numerical value.
Built on top of the already cool idea of keeping a virtual pet alive on a blockchain, the Cryptogotchi smart contract takes things one step further and distributes its own internally used ERC-20 token called Quantifiable Spacetime Meed (QSM), or Meed for short.
As a deflationary mechanism, Meed tokens utilized are burnt and forever removed from circulating supply. Meed will also be freely tradable on the open market in its own liquidity pool on the Polygon Blockchain.
Spacetime
Meed Rewards Calculation: ((generation -1) * 1) * (prestige + 1) + 1
Meed rewards are distributed based on a Cryptogotchis current generation, prestige and time between rewards. For example: At Generation 1, the required plays per reward is 1 and at Generation 10, the required plays per reward is 10. At initial Prestige 0, the time between plays is set to 1 hour and at Prestige 10, the time between plays is set to 11 hours. Each new Prestige sets the required plays per rewards back to 1 and increments the time between plays up by one hour.
So through this calculation, we can glance across spacetime and know exactly when and how much Meed your Cryptogotchi will yield next. This is an estimation of a single Cryptogotchis ROI over the next 10 years. 4x in just 1 year and continues exponentially.
Meed
Definition: an earned reward or wage (archaic)
Meed was a tough word to find, but with the use of a handy thesaurus I stumbled upon an ancient word for reward, and the final piece to to the naming puzzle. Meed rewards are generally easy to obtain, but there are still strict rules to follow and work to be put in. If a Cryptogotchi dies from lack of proper feeding, in order to revive that Cryptogotchi, all rewards from its current Prestige must be sent back, which could be a lot in a few years. Each new Prestige locks in your QSM rewards and resets the amount of tokens to revive back to zero.
